What are Vitamin D3 & Vitamin K2?
Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) is the active form of vitamin D produced by your skin when exposed to sunlight. It helps the body absorb calcium from the gut, supporting bone health, immune system & muscle function.
Vitamin K2 (Menaquinone) is a lesser-known form of Vitamin K. It helps regulate calcium by activating proteins that move calcium into bones and out of soft tissues (like arteries).
Why take them together?
These two products complement each other in how the body uses calcium. Vitamin D increases calcium absorption from food and when taken alone it can cause calcium buildup in arteries, if not directed properly. Which is where vitamin K2 steps in to direct calcium into bones and teeth, and away from arteries. Vitamin K2 needs sufficient D3 to have enough calcium to work with.
