A classic, nourishing breakfast: soft-boiled eggs paired with wholegrain toast and a small glass of kefir for a protein-packed, gut-friendly start to the day.

Serves 1 10 mins High-protein 350kcal 3.2g fibre

Ingredients

  • 2 medium eggs
  • 2 slices wholegrain bread
  • Small glass kefir (about 150ml)
  • Sea salt and black pepper, to taste

Method

  1. Bring a small saucepan of water to the boil. Lower in the eggs and simmer gently for 6 minutes for soft-boiled.
  2. While the eggs cook, toast the wholegrain bread until golden.
  3. Peel the eggs or serve in egg cups with the toast on the side for dipping.
  4. Pour a small glass of kefir and serve everything together.

Serving & storage

Tip: Enjoy straight away for best texture. For meal prep, pre-cook eggs to medium, chill, and reheat briefly in hot water before serving.
